Charter Night 2010 a "ghostly" success
Johnny was chased out of the haunted house by its longtime resident, a crotchety old spirit. But there was a moral to the story, as role by guest speaker Stephen Thorn, during the 52nd annual Charter Night of the West Shore Toastmasters Club. Johnny got his courage up, made a return visit to the house and cut a deal for visitation privileges.
This yarn, flawlessly delivered by Thorn, was just one of a succession of highlights at Charter Night, held January 13th at Nolo's, in the Rich Valley Golf Club. The evening featured a speaking contest, table topics, prize drawings, awards, and fun for all. Club president Leeann Rhoades presided over the evening, joined by toastmaster Walter Gross. The event was a testament to the close colleagueship that has been formed by so many longtime members of the club. (Members: For more Charter Night coverage,
